Law firms

Law firm PR that makes the firm findable and credible.

Clients and referring counsel search your firm name before they call. Pressfront writes your announcement, distributes it across the news and syndication sites Google indexes and AI answer engines read, and returns a report of every live URL. Bar advertising compliance stays with your firm.

Fixed one-time prices. No retainer, no sales call. Publish-or-refund guarantee on everything we name.

What law firms announce

  • Verdicts and settlements. Results you are permitted to disclose, stated factually and with the required context.
  • Partner promotions and lateral hires. A new partner, a practice group head, a counsel joining from elsewhere.
  • New practice areas and offices. Opening a practice group, entering a new market, a merger.
  • Class actions and investigations. Filing notices and investigation announcements, where permitted.
  • Recognitions. Rankings, bar leadership positions, board appointments, speaking and publication credits.
  • Community and pro bono work. A clinic, a scholarship, a sustained pro bono program.

Yahoo Finance does not accept legal content

Straight answer, because you will find out anyway. Yahoo Finance's content policy excludes legal category material, so we do not name it for law firms and we do not take your money pretending otherwise. On Advanced, your named and guaranteed outlets are Business Insider, AP News, MarketWatch, Street Insider and Morningstar, five instead of six, each delivered as its own live URL, and the per-outlet refund math applies to each of them exactly as it normally would.

Everything else is unchanged: the 500+ premium network, the full Standard reach underneath it, and the coverage report. Firms that need broad regional reach more than financial outlets often do better with Standard plus the AP News and US newspapers add-on instead.

Bar advertising rules are the firm's responsibility

A press release from a law firm is attorney advertising in most jurisdictions, and every state bar handles it differently. Required disclaimers, restrictions on describing past results, rules about client identification, retention and filing requirements, limits on claims of specialization or superiority. We do not track fifty sets of rules and we will not pretend to.

What we do: write in plain factual news style, avoid superlatives and outcome predictions, and include any disclaimer language you supply exactly as you give it to us. What you do: have the draft reviewed by whoever handles your firm's advertising compliance, confirm you have client consent for anything identifying, and approve the final wording. Nothing distributes until you sign off. This page is not legal advice.

Which package fits a law firm

Standard, $199. The right fit for most firm news: a partner promotion, a lateral hire, a new office, a practice launch, a recognition. 300+ site news and regional network, coverage report with every live URL, distribution and report guaranteed. Add AP News and US papers for $299 when regional reach matters.

Advanced, $799. For a significant verdict, a merger, a class action, or firm news with a business and financial audience. Five outlets named and guaranteed in writing for legal content, Business Insider, AP News, MarketWatch, Street Insider and Morningstar, plus a 500+ premium network.

How it works

  1. Tell us the storyA short intake: what you're announcing, who you are, where people should click. Ten minutes.
  2. Approve the draftWe write the release (or use yours) and send it for approval. Nothing goes out until you say so.
  3. Get the reportDistribution runs, links go live, and every URL lands in one coverage report you can point to.

Who this is for

A good fit

  • You promoted a partner, opened an office, or launched a practice area
  • You have a result you are permitted to disclose and want it documented publicly
  • You want news results attached to the firm name for clients and referring counsel
  • You want a fixed price per announcement instead of a legal marketing retainer

Not a fit

  • You need Yahoo Finance specifically (its policy excludes legal content, no exceptions)
  • You want us to handle bar advertising compliance (that stays with your firm)
  • The announcement would identify a client without documented consent
  • You want claims of superiority or predicted outcomes (we will not write those)

Straight answers

How much does law firm PR cost?

Pressfront is a fixed one-time price per announcement. Standard is $199 for distribution across a 300+ site news and regional network with a coverage report of every live URL. Advanced is $799 and names five guaranteed outlets for legal content, Business Insider, AP News, MarketWatch, Street Insider and Morningstar, plus a 500+ premium network. The AP News and US newspapers add-on is $299. No retainer and no sales call.

Can a law firm send a press release?

Yes. Firms of every size announce partner promotions, lateral hires, new offices, new practice areas, mergers, recognitions and results they are permitted to disclose. The caveat is that a firm press release is usually treated as attorney advertising, so your jurisdiction's bar rules apply to the wording, any required disclaimer and any description of past results. Your firm owns that review. We hold the release until you approve the final text.

Why can't a law firm press release go on Yahoo Finance?

Because Yahoo Finance's content policy excludes legal category material. That is the outlet's rule, not ours, and it applies regardless of who distributes the release. Rather than name an outlet we cannot deliver, we drop it from the guaranteed list for legal content. On Advanced you get five named and guaranteed outlets instead of six, Business Insider, AP News, MarketWatch, Street Insider and Morningstar, with the same per-outlet refund terms.

Can we announce a verdict or settlement in a press release?

Often yes, but it depends on your jurisdiction's rules about advertising past results, any confidentiality terms in the settlement, and client consent. Many bars require a disclaimer noting that past results do not guarantee future outcomes. We write the facts plainly and include any disclaimer language you supply, verbatim. Deciding whether the announcement is permissible is your firm's call, not ours, and this is not legal advice.

Will a press release help my law firm get found online?

It helps by putting the firm name, practice areas and city onto third-party pages that Google indexes and AI answer engines read, which fills brand search results and gives those engines accurate material about your firm. It does not replace a website, directory profiles or reviews, and we will not claim a ranking or a case intake result. What you get is documented placements and a report of every live URL.

Announce it cleanly, on the record.

Standard $199. Advanced $799 with five outlets named in writing for legal content.

Honest fine print, because it matters: these are press-release distribution and syndication placements, not independent editorial coverage or a journalist writing about you. Outlet names describe where a release can appear or syndicate, based on relevance and each outlet's policies; they are not endorsements. Links are nofollow (the wires' standard policy) and still build brand-search visibility, "as seen on" credibility, and AI discoverability. Exact placements vary by story and availability. Our guarantee covers distribution, live links and a report, or your money back, not rankings, traffic, permanence, or AI citation, which no honest service can promise.
