Startups

Startup PR that produces links you can put in a data room.

You raised, you launched, you hired someone good. Pressfront turns that into a written announcement distributed across the news and syndication sites investors, customers and AI answer engines actually read, and hands you a report of every live URL.

Fixed one-time prices. No retainer, no sales call. Publish-or-refund guarantee on everything we name.

What startups actually announce

  • Funding. Pre-seed, seed, Series A and up. Amount, lead investor, what the money is for.
  • Product launch. A new product, a public beta opening, a platform leaving stealth.
  • Key hires. A CTO, a VP of Sales, a first head of product, an advisor with a name people know.
  • Partnerships and pilots. A named integration, a channel deal, a pilot with a recognizable logo.
  • Traction milestones. A market you entered, a certification you cleared, a number you can substantiate.
  • Awards and accelerators. Getting into a cohort, placing in a competition, a category award.

If it would be true in a board update, it is announceable. If it needs three qualifiers to sound impressive, wait for the next one.

Why third-party pages matter in due diligence

An investor who likes your deck does the same thing everyone does next. They search your company name. What comes back decides whether the next call happens on schedule or gets quietly pushed.

A homepage and a LinkedIn page look like an idea. A homepage, a LinkedIn page and six news results look like a company with a history. That is the entire mechanism, and it is why founders who dismiss PR as vanity keep buying it right before a raise. The same pages do double duty with enterprise buyers running vendor checks, with candidates researching whether you are real, and with partners deciding how much of their roadmap to bet on you.

Startups and AI discoverability

When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity about tools in your category, those engines build an answer out of third-party pages that describe companies like yours. A startup with no footprint outside its own domain gives them nothing to work with, so they describe the incumbents instead.

Press release distribution puts an accurate, consistent description of what you do, who you serve and who backs you onto the sites those engines read. We cannot promise an AI will name you, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can do is make sure the material exists and says the right thing.

Which package fits a startup

Standard, $199. Right for a launch, a hire, a partnership, a product update, or your first announcement ever. Your release goes out across a 300+ site news and syndication network indexed by Google, and you get a coverage report with every live URL. Guaranteed distribution and report, no single site named.

Advanced, $799. Right for a funding round, an exit, or anything an investor will read. Six outlets are named and guaranteed in writing: Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, AP News, MarketWatch, Street Insider and Morningstar, each with its own live URL, plus a 500+ premium financial network. This is the one that produces the logo strip.

How it works

  1. Tell us the storyA short intake: what you're announcing, who you are, where people should click. Ten minutes.
  2. Approve the draftWe write the release (or use yours) and send it for approval. Nothing goes out until you say so.
  3. Get the reportDistribution runs, links go live, and every URL lands in one coverage report you can point to.

Who this is for

A good fit

  • You closed a round and want it on financial news sites investors already check
  • You are launching a product and need coverage links for the site and the deck
  • You are hiring or selling into enterprises that run a search before replying
  • You want a fixed price and a finished document, not a monthly PR retainer

Not a fit

  • You want TechCrunch to write a feature about you (that is earned media, no one guarantees it)
  • You need dofollow backlinks (wire links are nofollow everywhere, by policy)
  • You have nothing announceable yet and are hoping the release invents the news
  • You are pre-incorporation with no product, no round and no named people

Straight answers

How much does startup PR cost?

With Pressfront it is a fixed one-time price with no retainer. Standard is $199 and distributes your announcement across a 300+ site network with a coverage report of every live URL. Advanced is $799 and names six guaranteed outlets, Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, AP News, MarketWatch, Street Insider and Morningstar, plus a 500+ premium financial network. An optional AP News and US newspapers add-on is $299. Traditional startup PR agencies work on retainers that typically start in the thousands per month.

Should a startup do a press release for a seed round?

Usually yes, because a funding announcement is the one piece of news that is easy to verify, easy to write and useful for years. It gives customers a reason to trust you, gives candidates a reason to reply and gives your next investor something to find when they search you. Advanced at $799 is the common choice here because funding news belongs on financial sites, and those are the six outlets we name in writing.

Can a pre-revenue startup send a press release?

Yes. Revenue is not the requirement, news is. A launch, a funding round, a named hire, a partnership, a pilot, an accelerator acceptance or a certification are all legitimate announcements regardless of your revenue. What does not work is a release with no actual event in it. If you are not sure whether your news is news, the intake form is short and we will tell you honestly whether there is an angle worth spending on.

Will a press release get my startup covered by TechCrunch?

No, and anyone promising that is selling you something they do not control. Distribution places your announcement, in your words, on news and syndication sites through wire partners. A journalist independently writing about you is earned media, it takes months of relationship work and it is never guaranteed. That said, a distributed release with real links is often what makes a reporter take the follow-up email seriously.

What should a startup press release include?

A factual headline, a dateline, the core news in the first paragraph, one or two quotes from named people, enough context for a reader who has never heard of you, and a boilerplate paragraph about the company with a link. For funding, name the amount, the lead investor and the use of funds. We draft all of this from a ten-minute intake, and nothing goes out until you approve the wording.

Announce it properly, once.

Standard $199. Advanced $799 with six outlets named in writing. One draft you approve, one report at the end.

Honest fine print, because it matters: these are press-release distribution and syndication placements, not independent editorial coverage or a journalist writing about you. Outlet names describe where a release can appear or syndicate, based on relevance and each outlet's policies; they are not endorsements. Links are nofollow (the wires' standard policy) and still build brand-search visibility, "as seen on" credibility, and AI discoverability. Exact placements vary by story and availability. Our guarantee covers distribution, live links and a report, or your money back, not rankings, traffic, permanence, or AI citation, which no honest service can promise.
