Why doesn't AI recommend my business?

Because AI names businesses that independent, credible pages have written about, and yours has little of that coverage. It's rarely about quality.

See where your business stands, freeLive across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI. About a minute.

The real reason

When you ask ChatGPT or Google's AI for the best companies in a category, it doesn't rank them the way old search did. It names the businesses it has read about on sources it trusts: news sites, industry publications, directories, and review platforms. If those sources don't describe your business, the model has little to go on, so it names the ones they do describe.

That's why a genuinely excellent business can be invisible to AI while a louder competitor gets recommended. The competitor isn't better. They'd been written up somewhere AI reads, and you hadn't.

Your own website isn't enough

AI treats what you say about yourself with skepticism, the way you'd treat a stranger's resume, and looks for corroboration elsewhere. Most of the sources AI cites when it recommends a company are third-party pages, not the company's own site. So polishing your homepage doesn't move the needle much; getting described accurately across the wider web does.

How to fix it

Get accurate, consistent descriptions of your business published on the credible sites AI already reads, so that when it looks you up, it finds the same clear story everywhere. That's what Pressfront does. Start by seeing exactly what AI says about you today:
